The "Salt Water Shark" is a retro model exclusively made for Europe and some parts of Asia.
Produced with the same machines used in St. Louis during the 1940s, these sandals feature a traditional fisherman-style braided leather upper and durable vulcanized rubber sole.
While the toe protection and fit are slightly more secure compared to the "Salt Water Original," they retain the same iconic look and toughness.

Historical Background:
During World War II, leather shortages led Walter Hoy to start making sandals using leftover leather from military boots. The sandals quickly gained popularity, and parents in St. Louis soon requested them for their children.
More than 70 years later, the classic line started by Walter continues to offer durable, functional, and fashionable sandals. Featuring rust-resistant metal buckles, a variety of colors and designs, and quality craftsmanship, these sandals remain a staple.
