These are traditional Kagura masks, hand-made for children as toy masks.
Each mask is carefully handmade in Japan.
Unlike plastic masks, these are crafted from traditional handmade Japanese paper, giving them an antique feel.
Historically, these decorative masks have been cherished as gifts for celebrations such as new house blessings, grand openings, weddings, birthdays, sixtieth birthdays, promotions, and retirement commemorations. They have also been used as charms for protection, good luck, and prosperity. This toy-sized mask retains that traditional charm.
It's an item that will not look cheap, even when displayed in a room, and it adds a touch of elegance.
Use it not only for Setsubun but also for festivals, performances, or everyday play.
Size: Approximately 19.5cm in height × 13cm in width
Material: Japanese paper, Gofun (ground white shell), Nika glue, Hair elastic
Note: Since these masks are handmade, there may be slight variations in expression and color. Some slight color fading, rubbing, or dents may occur. Please note this in advance.
Note: The Nika glue used may have a distinct smell, which will dissipate after drying for some time.
Note: The mask significantly impairs vision, so please ensure that your child does not move around while wearing it.
